Welcome to Photo Class

Hi Everybody,

This blog will serve as our class meeting place.  It is from here that I will take attendance each Monday morning at 9 am for work posted the previous week.  We will keep the class asynchronous so you don't have to show up at a specific time... just post during the week and keep your work moving so I can mark you as present...

Darkroom Students!  We will move to digital photography.  You can use any camera, even a phone cam as I am mainly interested in how you are learning to see photographically, learning to edit in Photoshop, learning about light and composition and about translating the world to a clear, optically rendered two dimensional image.  Analog students will need to set up a Google Drive folder here or from any internet connected device, use Chrome and go to drive.google.com.  Name your folder, Intro to Photography, Spring 2020 and your name.  Important... share the folder with me by right clicking on the name of it then left clicking share.  Use jnevins@albertus.edu as the address to share with.

I have a playlist of videos on YouTube showing you how to edit your work for light and focal point.  Please refer to some of them to get into the swing of things.  You will need to download and install Photoshop on your home computer.  go to Adobe.com and sign into the Creative Cloud, using your Albertus login.  I am having ITS add your email to the Adobe list so you can use it... that will happen on March 19th (Thursday).  Next download and install Photoshop for your OS.

Email me with any questions... better yet, join the blog and post them here...  Hang in there... lets have fun with this... I will miss you though.
